UCLM Student Research Repository

A centralized digital archive for preserving, organizing, and disseminating completed student research across UCLM colleges and programs.

What is the UCLM Student Research Repository?

The UCLM Student Research Repository (UCLM-SRR) is a centralized digital repository established by the University of Cebu–Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue Campus (UCLM) for the systematic collection, preservation, organization, and dissemination of completed student research manuscripts and scholarly works.

The repository serves as an institutional archive where completed student research can be digitally preserved and made discoverable for legitimate academic, educational, and scholarly purposes. It provides a structured and organized platform for documenting the research contributions of UCLM students across different colleges, departments, and academic programs.

Our Vision

To become a trusted, sustainable, and accessible institutional repository that preserves, promotes, and enhances the visibility of UCLM student research while contributing to a culture of knowledge creation, scholarly inquiry, and academic excellence.

Our Mission

To systematically collect, preserve, organize, and responsibly disseminate completed UCLM student research, ensuring that valuable scholarly works are maintained as an enduring institutional knowledge resource for present and future academic communities.

Our Purpose

The primary purpose of the UCLM Student Research Repository is to ensure that completed student research is properly documented, preserved, organized, and made discoverable.

The repository seeks to:

  4. Support students and faculty members in academic and research activities;
  5. Facilitate access to relevant research for legitimate educational and scholarly purposes;
  6. Document the research productivity and scholarly contributions of UCLM students;

Student research as institutional knowledge

Student research represents an important component of the University's academic and research culture. A completed research manuscript contains not only the findings of a particular study but also the knowledge, experiences, methodologies, and scholarly efforts of the student researchers and their advisers.

The UCLM Student Research Repository therefore seeks to ensure that these scholarly contributions are not lost after graduation or completion of the academic requirement. Instead, they can become part of an organized institutional collection that may assist future students, researchers, educators, and academic programs.

Research preservation and responsible dissemination

The repository is committed to preserving student research while ensuring that its dissemination is undertaken responsibly. The availability of a manuscript in the repository does not automatically grant users permission to reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, or commercially exploit the work.

Users of repository materials are expected to:

  • Properly acknowledge the original authors;
  • Cite the research appropriately;
  • Respect copyright and intellectual-property rights;
  • Observe applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements;
